You understand what's being said. When it's your turn, the words don't come. That's where our courses start.

An eduQua certified school

eduQua is the Swiss label for continuing education providers. An independent body reviews the certification every year. It checks teacher qualifications, how lessons run, and how feedback is handled.

Two audiences

You're learning for yourself, or training a team

A teacher and her learner in a private lesson, at a whiteboard

For you

Private lessons to move fast. A group course to practise with others. A workshop when only speaking is missing.

For your team

Your staff attend their lessons, you track attendance and budget. Certificates come straight out of your area, with no chasing.

Where we stand

Four things we will not bend on

A level measured, never declared

The test comes before enrolment. A badly matched group wastes everyone’s time.

An external audit every year

eduQua is not claimed, it is checked. And the report is not written by us.

No guarantee of success

We prepare you for the exam. Anyone promising the result of an external exam is promising what they cannot deliver.

Your data stays in Switzerland

The site and your messages are hosted in Switzerland. In companies, HR sees attendance, never what is said in class.

The method

From placement test to certificate

Three steps, in this order, for everyone.

  1. You find your level

A short test places you on the European scale, from A1 to C2. The course starts from that result, never from a guess.

  2. You attend your lessons

One to one, in a small group, or by video call. Your teacher notes what moves forward and what gets stuck.

  3. You show what you can do

We prepare you for the exam you want: Goethe, telc, Cambridge, DELF, IELTS. Without an exam, you get a level certificate.

The formats

Four ways to take a course

Private lessons

You set the time and the content. At the school, at home, or at your company.

Group course

A small group and a programme announced in advance. The price goes down, the practice goes up.

Conversation workshop

Four to six people, one topic per session, online. You talk, you take no notes.

Course by video call

The same course, without the trip. Useful when the journey costs more than the lesson.

What our clients say

Three people who took our courses

With my schedule as full as it is, the private lessons alternate between my office and the school. The director and my teacher show great flexibility, with a lot of professionalism.
Didier JungoHead of the Fribourg branchEmch+Berger AG Bern
With a demanding job and a full family life, I chose SWISS LINGUA for their flexibility and personalised lessons. I am very happy with it!
Mathy SommerRPO Manager SwitzerlandRandstad (Switzerland) Ltd
The course content is varied and hands-on. I particularly valued the flexibility and the personalisation of the lessons, the competence of the teachers, and how they listen to what you need.
